Last year, Apple shocked iPhone fans by making a big difference between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro. A new leak has shown that the iPhone 15 line-up will make the difference between them even bigger.
Working with Apple leaker Unknownz21, MacRumors has found that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are different in several ways, including how they look and their features. Some of this information came from leaked internal Apple documents. Unknownz21 has an excellent track record. For example, they found a version of iOS 14 months before it came out.
The latest information from the leaker will likely go poorly with iPhone buyers on a tight budget. MacRumors says that documents he got “confirm” that Apple’s new 3nm A17 chipset and a redesigned chassis with solid-state power and volume buttons will only be in the iPhone 15 Pro. Even the phones’ connections will be different. Only the Pros will have Wi-Fi 6E, which needed to be clarified from earlier leaks.
Because this last point had never been made before (for example, all iPhone 14 models used Wi-Fi 6), Unknownz21 made the documentation public. He also said that this was just “the tip of the iceberg” and that more leaks, including full images, would come before the March start of the range’s EVT (Engineering Validation Test) stage.
Multiple leaks have already told us that the cameras and ProMotion displays on the iPhone 15 Pro models will again be better than those on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. This means the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will rarely be on par with their more expensive siblings.
