According to the collectibles company Mondo, the first season of the Apple TV+ series Severance will have an exclusive vinyl soundtrack. The vinyl comes in two versions this Wednesday, each with unique artwork, packaging, and products.
The season one soundtrack by Theodore Shapiro and artwork by Greg Ruth is included in the first version, dubbed the “Innie Edition,” which costs $60. This is a numbered edition with a production run of only 5,000 copies. It is recorded on black vinyl and packaged in a folder meant to resemble something the innies might carry in the show.
The Innie Edition includes four character cards, an Eagan bingo sheet, a hidden map of the severed floor, a Music Dance Experience card, a record safety card, a Lumon disco bag, and other extras.
The second version, referred to as the “Outie Edition,” is a more basic choice without all the extra goods and costs $35. It also includes artwork by Greg Ruth and Theodore Shapiro’s season one soundtrack, which is pressed on white vinyl. The initial pressing of this record will be packaged with a 3/4 reverse board slipcase, and packaging for it consists of a spot varnish gatefold sleeve with a printed inner sleeve.
The Severance season one soundtrack will be available in both versions on Mondo’s record shop website this Wednesday at 12 p.m. CT.
