Apple urged by China to enhance data protection protocols

China has asked Apple to strengthen data protection measures.

TikTok CEO Xu Qiu said in his testimony before the US Congress that the company takes American concerns seriously.

“We will not allow user data to be tampered with anywhere. It is our responsibility to protect American users and we are committed to doing so,” he added.

The head of “Tik Tok” confirmed that only American employees can access American data, and that user data in America are strengthened with protective systems.

For its part, Congress has said that “Tik Tok” poses a threat to Americans’ data and must be transparent.

According to Congress, the Communist Party of China may be hacking into Americans’ phones via TikTok.

Congress has called on TikTok to control the content and not transform it in a spy tool.

For its part, the Chinese government has put in warned against the sale of TikTok and said the move would undermine the confidence of foreign investors in the US.

Beijing said, “We will strongly oppose any move by the United States to force the owners of TikTok to sell it.”
