Is There A Trailer for Argylle?
United States and Apple TV both put out the first video for Argylle on September 28, 2023. The trailer, which is mostly set to a remade version of Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds,” shows that the main spy is actually a character from Bryce Dallas Howard’s books. There is also a hint in the video that the movie will have a big surprise: “Once you know the secret, don’t let the cat out of the bag.”
What Is ‘Argylle’ Pot?
Here is the official plot summary as per Apple TV +:
The greater the spy, the bigger the lie.
From the twisted mind of Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise, Kick-Ass) comes Argylle, a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller.
Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.
Accompanied by Aiden (Oscar® winner Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
Who Is Making ‘Argylle’?
The movie was shot in different places in the US and UK between August 2021 and January 2022. As was already said, Argylle is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who has worked on other spy movies before. He co-wrote, directed, and produced the Kingsman movies with Colin Firth and Taron Egerton in the lead roles. Stardust, X-Men First Class, and Two Smoking Barrels are some of Vaughn’s other well-known works.
Jason Fuchs is writing the story for Argylle. He has written scripts for Wonder Woman and Ice Age: Continental Drift before. Along with Vaughn, Adam Bohling, and David Reid, Fuchs will also be a director. As senior producers, Zygi Camasa, Carlos Peres, Claudia Vaughn, and Adam Fishbach do their jobs. The movie was directed by Daniel Ilabaca and George Richmond, and Lorne Balfe composed the music. Apple Studios and Marv Studios work together to make Argylle.
