French authorities have summoned Ashraf Hakimi, a player on the Moroccan national team, in response to allegations of rape made by a 20-year-old French girl. According to the French newspaper “Le Parisien”, Hakimi has denied the allegations, calling them unfounded. Although he is still free, he has been placed under judicial control during the investigation, and is prohibited from having any contact with the girl who filed the complaint. Despite this, Hakimi is expected to travel with his Paris Saint-Germain teammates to Munich for a Champions League match against Bayern. His absence from a recent match was due to injury, not the judicial follow-up.
