James Fanshawe will let the dust settle before deciding on the next move for Audarya after her meritorious effort in defeat in Paris Longchamp.
The test conditions: found the five-year-old mare out in the final phase on Sunday, after she seemed to go strong over a furlong out in the Prix de l’Opera.
Audarya finally had to settle for fourth place, a length and a half behind the winner Rougir.
She has a listing in the Qipco Champion Stakes in Ascot on October 16 and was able to bid to defend her crown in the Maker’s Mark Filly And Mare Turf at the Breeders’ Cup in Del Mar next month.
“She ran very well. She was in order after the race and wash good this morning,” Fanshawe said.
“We do not know what we will do next. We will see how she is over the next 10 days and then think.
“She came for that” run very good, and the ground just found her out.”
