Bad Boys 4 Release Date, Trailer, Cast, Plot and Everything We Know So Far

The time has come for the Bad Boys movie series to return, and it almost looks like the first Bad Boys movie from 1995 will be back together again. Funny enough, it will have one of the shortest breaks between movies. There were eight years between the first and second, thirteen years between the second and the third, and less than five years are expected between the third and fourth. No matter the reason, the fans’ favorite actors and team are back for the next movie.

Release Date of Bad Boys 4′?

Bad Boys 4 is set to come out in theaters on June 14, 2024. It will go up against Disney and Pixar’s cartoon sequel Inside Out 2, which will also be in theaters simultaneously.

The SAG-AFTRA strike has recently stopped shooting, so it’s possible that the movie won’t come out on this date. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Is There a Trailer for ‘Bad Boys 4’?

No, there isn’t a video for Bad Boys 4 yet. However, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence posted on Instagram that they were making the movie, so that’s something.

Will Smith drives toward Lawrence’s house at the beginning of the video that both of them shared, giving a hint that some big news was about to come out? As he hinted at this news, Nelly, Diddy, and Murphy’s song “Shake Your Tailfeather” began to play. For those who haven’t heard it before or haven’t seen the Bad Boys movies in a while, this song is from the Bad Boys II album.

Smith and Lawrence look at each other and say, “Isn’t it about that time?” Then they say, “Bad Boys for life, baby,” which confirms the movie will be made. Even though the third movie has already taken the name Bad Boys for Life, both Smith and Lawrence said they should have left it for the fourth movie, which is being called Bad Boys 4 even though it doesn’t have a title yet

What Will ‘Bad Boys 4’ Be Plot?

As with many of the other Bad Boys movies, this one will probably be about a drug bust and have a lot of great action. Even though nothing has been proven, we have a few ideas based on hints from the other Bad Boys movies.

In one of the scenes after the credits of Bad Boys 4 Life, we see Armando Aretas, also known as Armando Lowrey, might be in the next movie. Jacob Scipio played the role of Armando. After it was revealed that Armando was Mike Lowery’s son, whom no one knew about, Mike may be trying to get Armando to help him with a case. Armando has killed many people and is now in jail, but isn’t that just the beginning of an interesting story?

El Arbi also said the fourth movie will have a different tone from the third.

“But yeah, what’s going to happen in this one is, I think that there’s going to be way more comedy. The third one had the dramatic tone. With this one, it’s really our purpose to get people laughing and having a good time in the theater. Martin [Lawrence] is going to a higher level in this one. This is the culmination of the Marcus Burnett arc.”

Who Is Making ‘Bad Boys 4’?

There are also a lot of people from behind the scenes who are coming back. Among them are directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who led the last movie after Michael Bay left. Since the last movie came out, the two directors have been very busy. They made the acclaimed thriller Rebel and episodes of Ms. Marvel. They also directed the now-famously canceled Batgirl movie, which was to star Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser as the villain Firefly and Leslie Grace as the main character.

“With Jerry Bruckheimer [high-profile producer] movies, we always tend to think about all the action and the crazy explosions. But actually, it’s the characters of his movies that are the reason why the audience loves to watch them. So, we went further and deeper on those character moments. But everything that we learned, in terms of camera movements and just directing on set, we tried to push ourselves and go even further. Sometimes we had some funky moments and funky shots that we didn’t try on the last one because it was maybe a little more classical. This time, we go more funky and more loco on this one.”
