Baldur’s Gate III Jewel
Baldur’s Gate III is clearly among the contenders for the title of GOTY 2023. The software from Larian Studios is a real gem, a sparkling C-RPG through and through. In gameplay, the initiative to introduce a system close to that of the board game has proven to be particularly successful and the dice rolls offer players a real wealth of interaction, whether in the choices of dialogue, exploration or combat.
But where the software also excels is in its oh so captivating writing from the first to the last act. The quests each have multiple outcomes determined by your choices. As for the characters, it would undoubtedly have been difficult to do better as companions of fortune. The authors of Larian have written complex characters here — endearing, irritating, funny, and touching — while the actors offer us each a brilliant interpretation at all times.

Much of the immersion in Baldur’s Gate III is through its many dialogues, as the dubbing is good and immerses you alongside its colorful characters.
