Belarus calls on Ukrainian military attache over border violation

MOSCOW, Dec. 5 (Reuters) – The Belarusian Defense Ministry said: on On Sunday it had called on Ukraine military attaché to protest against what it called repeated violations of Airspace of Belarus by Ukrainian aircraft.

Relationships between the two countries have plummeted since then last yearwhen Russia side with with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during Mass street protests and Lukashenko in turn became more vocal in to be support for Moscow against Ukraine.

Belarus has handed over a note of protest against the Ukrainian officialthe ministry said: in a statement.

“The military attaché was informed that the Ukrainian side is to avoid a dialogue until resolve disputes … which is very disturbing,” the ministry said.

Belarus said on Saturday that a Ukrainian military helicopter had flown one km (0.6 miles) to Belarusian territory during maneuvers. a spokesperson for The Ukrainian border guard denied the accusation. read more

The Ukrainian army said: on Sunday it had nothing to do add on that comment.

“Maybe someone made An mistake and spread accusations for manipulative purposes,” a spokesman said.
