Best 4K TV For 2022

Most TVs with a screen size of at least 43 inches can be bought with 4K resolution. It is no longer an expensive feature because the prices of 4K TVs are now about the same as the prices of old low-resolution 1080p TVs. If you want to buy a TV with a 50-inch or bigger screen, it’s hard to find one that isn’t 4K.

People think the best 4K TV screen costs a lot more than it does. The popular TCL 4 series, which I like a lot as a “entry-level” option, starts at less than $ 300 for the 43-inch TV.

Having a screen with 4K resolution doesn’t always mean that the picture is good. Having so many pixels doesn’t make a big difference in how good the picture looks. There are 8,294,440 of them, to be exact. The best-performing TVs in our reviews and the best TVs for the money are good at things like contrast, dynamic range, peak brightness, and HDR performance. If you want to buy a gaming TV, you will also want to think about things like input delay. These TVs also have 4K resolution, but they’re mostly tabletop bets these days because they don’t have enough space.

Those are the best 4K TVs I have tested in the lab. I compare them to each other to see which ones are better for you to buy, and this is the list below. I’ve looked at things like the picture quality, the design, the smart TV features, the connectivity, and more (in practice, all that need to watch your favorite TV shows and make the most of it of your Fire TV or streaming stick apps). I’ve put together a list of my most recent recommendations, with the following things to keep in mind:

  • Unless it says otherwise, all of the prices you see are for 65-inch models, unless it says otherwise.
  • To look for certain screen size? Check out the 32-inch TV, 43-inch TV, 55-inch TV, 65-inch TV, and 75-inch TV, as well.
  • Some of these TVs came out in 2020. New 2021 models are now on the market, and so far we’ve only looked at a few of them. On this list, I have added a section called “Outlook 2021” that includes everything I know so far about the new TVs for 2020 2020 that are coming out in 2019.
  • The new TV in 2022 might have some great new features or better picture quality that you won’t be able to get if you buy one now. You don’t have to worry about that. Our advice is that if you need to buy a new TV right now, you should do so. TVs are usually old technology.

This is the best picture quality I’ve ever seen for this little money. Because of its mini-LED technology and full-array local dimming, the 2020 TCL 6 series has a very good picture. This is because this TV costs less than any other TV that costs this much. He’s also a good choice for people who play in THX mode, which has low input lag and high contrast. In case that wasn’t enough, the Roku TV operating system is our favorite by a long shot!

Dimensions: 55, 65, 75 inches.

Outlook 2021: TCL says this TV will be on sale for most of 2021. Until the fall, I don’t think it will be changed. It could stay all year. One with 85 inches is coming out “in the next few months.” In addition, TCL will also sell an 8K version of the 6 Series. I don’t think it’ll be worth the money to buy it, though.

LG OLEDG1
LG OLEDG1

I don’t know. What do you want? You just want the best TV, and you have the money to get it. Right here. It’s the best TV I’ve ever seen, with world-class contrast, a wide viewing angle, and great uniformity. In my side-by-side test, the LG G1 OLED TV was the best. This OLED TV looks better than the picture of the LG CX below, but only by a hair. It has a more subtle, more wall-friendly design, and it looks better than the LG CX. The best TV to buy if you have the money is this one.

The 2022 CX is a better option for people who want a really nice OLED TV but don’t have a lot of money. The G1 is available for hundreds less than the 2022 CX. The G1 was a little brighter and had a little better video processing, but it was hard to tell. The only real advantage of the G1 is that it has a very simple look. The CX is also very simple.

Dimensions: 48, 55, 65, 77 inches.

Outlook 2021: The new model, which is called C1, costs a little more than the CX right now. I haven’t written a review yet. is bigger, has some small new features, and better processing. I think the picture quality will be about the same as the CX.

Samsung QN90A
Samsung QN90A

To look for a high-end 4K TV that has great picture quality but doesn’t have an OLED? If you want to get the best deal, you should buy the Samsung QN90A. This TV has a technology called QLED that is powered by mini-LEDs. It has a brighter picture than any OLED TV that has this technology. Even though OLED still won out in my side-by-side test, the QN90A has come closer than ever. His TV is also a little cheaper than the 2021 OLED TVs, but not cheaper than the 2020 CX. It comes in a wider range of sizes, too.

Dimensions: 50, 55, 65, 75, 85 inches.

It’s even better when it’s cooked on the TV. Roku is our favorite platform for live TV streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, and it’s even better. One thing this TCL 4 series can’t do is beat the other models when it comes to picture quality: Four-K resolution and HDR performance do little to improve the picture. Most people will be fine with that, especially at this price.

Dimensions: 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 85 inches. (Prices shown below we are for the size of 43 inch.)

TCL 6 Series
TCL 6 Series

Aside from the aforementioned TCL 6 series, this is the runner-up for best TV for the money. The TCL has a better picture and a better smart TV system so it’s a superior TV overall, but it is also a couple of hundred dollars more expensive. If you can’t afford the 6 Series, this Vizio is a lot good choice.

Dimensions: 50, 55, 65 inches.

Outlook 2021: The successor of this TV is the MQ7-J series. It looks very similar on card – the main difference is a new voice remote and a larger one selection of size. It is shipped in July, and initial list the price is significantly higher compared to 2020 version, ranging from $ 200 to $ 300 more employee on dimension.

Vizio series
Vizio series

V of the Vizio series is our favorite low-cost TCL Series 4 Roku TV replacement. Our favorite smart TV system was Roku. The V-series, on the other hand, has a better remote with voice and more advanced picture settings. In this case, if you don’t have a preference, it makes sense to get the cheaper one.

Dimensions: 43, 50, 55, 58-65, 75 inches.

Sony X90J
Sony X90J

The X90J is Sony’s answer to the TCL 6 series and the more expensive Vice models. It has great picture quality, thanks to full-array local dimming and a lot of brightness to make HDR shine. Google TV and a sleek design are two more things that make this TV stand out. It also has inputs for next-generation consoles and a built-in NextGen TV Tuner. If you want to get a “S” mark, this is one of the best values we have found.

Dimensions: 50, 55, 65, 75 inches.

Samsung Q60A
Samsung Q60A

A popular series is the Q60A. Samsung is the TV brand that sells more than anyone else, and this is one of the most popular: It looks more elegant than other TVs on this list, even though the ultrathin OLED models are even more elegant. It has more features and better picture quality than budget TVs like the TCL 4 series, and it comes in a wide range of sizes. Sony X90J: This TV has a better picture than the TVs above. If you can’t afford the QN90A, this is still a good choice.

Dimensions: 43, 50, 55, 60-65, 70-75, 85 inches.

Other things for know on the purchase of a new 4K TV

I’m pretty sure you’d be happy with any of the TVs above, but buying a new one can be a lot of money, so maybe you want to learn more about them. List: Here’s a quick and dirty one-pager.

  • If I had to choose, I’d say bigger is better. If you have money, you should spend it on a big screen rather than an improvement in the quality of the picture. Big TVs are now cheaper than ever.
  • The built-in Smart TV system might not be for you. You can always add a media streamer to your TV if that is what you want (like a Fire TV or Roku stick box). They are cheap, easy to use, and get new things more often than most smart TVs. Take a look at our picks for the best media streamers.
  • Most built-in speakers don’t sound very good, so it might be worth getting a soundbar or other speaker system to go with your new TV set when you get it. The best ones start at about $100. See which soundbar is the best one in the picture.
