Biden & Fauci have the voice problem with Omicron

United States President Joe Biden and White House Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci have caused worry with repeated errors in pronouncing the Omicron variant, insisting that it is not a “cause for panic.”

During a press conference on Monday, Biden urged calm in the face of the latest coronavirus variant, announced last week by the World Health Organization (WHO).

During his speech, Biden defended the travel restrictions placed on African multiple countries and urged Americans to get vaccinated and then booster to protect themselves from Omicron, which health experts are still collecting data on.

Many noted during Biden’s speech, however, that he repeatedly pronounced Omicron as “Omnicron”.

“It’s called Omnicron”, he said, going on repeat the mistake multiple times. Even if he had difficulty saying the real name, Biden said the variant was a “cause for concern “, but not for panic, among Americans people.

Maw, who Biden said he led his Covid briefing, he would repeat that of the president mistake, said, “Even before Omnicron came along in, we had a situation in where we will be in degree of test” he said to one point in answer to a reporter’s question.

Many have indicated out Biden’s repeated misspellings as he faced the variant, with many pointing out how easy the mistake is, but noticing the oddity while Biden was briefed more of most on the subject.

Plus tweets from Biden’s official account during his speech, Omicron was correctly referenced and spelled multiple times.

Omicron is the fifteenth letter in the Greek alphabet. Named variant identified in African multiple countries, as well as countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong and others.
