Brazil beat Colombia with a goal and qualified for the finals of the World Cup

Last night Brazil beat Colombia 1-0 in Sao Paulo, becoming the first South American country to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Lucas Paqueta scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute with a shot that goalkeeper David Ospina couldn’t stop.

Brazil leads the South American qualifiers with 34 points in 12 games, nine points clear of Argentina. The first four places directly qualify for the finals, while the fifth goes to the international playoffs.
