Brazilian Jesus underwent knee surgery after returning to Arsenal

London: English Premier League football club Arsenal announced on Tuesday that Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus has undergone surgery on his right knee following an injury sustained while playing for his country in the Cup of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Jesus went off injured in the 1-0 defeat to Cameroon at the end of Group G matches, to be ruled out of the tournament. “Gabriel will now begin his rehabilitation programme,” Arsenal said in a statement, without revealing any details on when the 25-year-old will return to competition. “Everyone in the club They support Gabriel and will do everything possible to help him return as soon as possible,” the statement added.
