Brazilian legend Pelé thanks Qatar and fans during a monthly visit to the hospital

São Paulo: Brazilian soccer legend Pele said on Thursday in a post on his Instagram account to be in hospital for a monthly visit and thanked his fans for the positive messages he received. Former striker Pele, 82, considered one of the greatest footballers in history, has published a photo showing his face on a building in Qatar, along with a message saying, “Get well soon.” He said in post: “My friends, they are in hospital for a monthly visit. It’s always nice to receive positive messages like this. Thanks Qatar for the support and everyone for the positive feedback!” Pele entered in a hospital in São Paulo on Tuesday to reevaluate his cancer treatment after having a colon tumor removed in September 2021. Pelé, who led Brazil to the World Cup three times in 1958, 1962 and 1970, suffered from a series of health problems in recent years, but is still active on social. Last month he said he hoped to extend a sixth World Cup title from record of the Brazilian national team. (Reuters)
