Barcelona, the leaders of the Spanish Football League, have announced that their striker Ansu Fati will be absent from stadiums until his recovery is complete. On Friday, Fati suffered a contusion to his left knee during training. The 20-year-old had featured in the 75th minute during the team’s 2-1 defeat by Manchester United in the Europa League play-off second leg the previous Thursday, which resulted in Barcelona’s exit from the continental league. Barcelona expressed on Twitter that they will miss Fati and his recovery will determine his availability. Currently, Barcelona are leading the Spanish league by eight points over their rivals, Real Madrid, who occupy second place. The club Catalan will play against Almeria at home on Sunday. (Reuters)
