Fire Breaks out on Tourist Boat in Marsa Alam
On Sunday, an official source in Cairo said a fire broke out on board a tourist boat carrying 29 people in the city of Marsa Alam in the Red Sea Governorate.
The incident began when the proper authorities received notification of a fire in a “tourist launch” named “Herken”, carrying 29 people, during a diving cruise. And 12 English tourists were rescued, as well as 14 Egyptians, who are the crew of the boat. The passengers were carried to the shore of the village of Marsa al-Shajara, all in good health, while around the boat are still in ongoing searches for 3 missing persons. It turned out that the boat left on June 6 from Marina Porto Ghalib and was due to return today, Sunday.
