Chef Brian Turner suffered a stroke in June 2022, leaving him with a speech impediment and unable to be left alone in a kitchen. He returned to James Martin’s Saturday Morning show in January and praised his friend for his support. Turner and Martin have known each other since Turner was eight years old and judged Martin’s college diploma. They have since appeared on various cooking shows together, including Ready Steady Cook.
