Britain to send 600 Brimstone missiles in Ukraine

On Thursday, the British defense minister announced in Estonia that the UK will send Ukraine another 600 Brimstone missiles to help it fight Russia.

Ben Wallace confirmed this after a donor meeting with several of his European counterparts at the Estonian military base in Tapa.

“Today I can say that we will also be sending another 600 Brimstone missiles into the theatre, which is crucial in helping Ukraine control the battlefield,” Ben Wallace said.

The first country to meet this demand

And London announced on Saturday that it will send tanks in Ukraine, to be the first country to comply with Kiev’s request in this sense.

Wallace and his Estonian counterpart, Hannu Pefkur, took the lead in convening the donor meeting.

Talks on military support for Ukraine continue Friday during a meeting of fifty countries convened by the United States at the Ramstein military base in Germany.

We will continue to support Ukraine.

Wallace added on Thursday: “We are here today and tomorrow we will be in Ramstein (…) to make it clear to (Russian) President Vladimir Putin that we will continue (…) to support Ukraine.”

“Because if President Putin is betting that quest’year we will get tired, you are wrong. We will make plans for questyear, next year and the year after (…) We’re here for the long haul.”

Furthermore, Wallace has called for Russia to withdraw from Ukraine.

“In 2023, the time has come to transform in build the momentum the Ukrainians have gained by pushing Russia back and to make sure Russia understands that the goal now is to kick it out of Ukraine and restore Ukraine’s sovereignty,” he said.
