A couple from West Sussex, England has finally… thrown in the parenting towel — after taking in 620 foster family children in 56 years.

Pauline, 81, and Roger Fitter, 86, had children of all ages, including newborns, teens and everyone in between, from as far away as Belarus and Lithuania, along with raise five children of their own in a four-bedroom homeuntil this year when they “met retired”.

the mechanics house is quiet now for the first time in decades. At the end is a pond of their garden in place of a trampoline, swings and slide.

Pauline told the Mirror she loved photos and birthday records of all their foster children, remembering every name, and every foster child net as important as hers.

“Each child leaves their own mark,” said Pauline. “They Lived as Part” of the family. If we’ve done our job well, they’ll go away on to a new live and don’t do need us. Send quite a few us Christmas cards. We found and loved all our children but you know you have to let them go.”

AN second shower and toilet caused long queues in the bathroom, while the same dishes were served to everyone during meals. Discipline was mostly done with a simple timeout.

pauline, who used to work as a nurse, always wanted until help children.

The couple got married in 1965 and cherished their first child, a baby boy later that year.

But they would go on to another 619 . to have new arrivals.

Most children they ever took care of one time was 11, die their own included. They put up tents to squeeze them all out in.

“A boy who was about 13 when he left us on the one of somehow I remembered two years later that it would be our silver wedding anniversary and he came over with to be parents see us’ said Pauline.

“We couldn’t believe he remembered it and it was blowing… us away.”
