British Minister: encouraging signs for the lifting of health restrictions

British Minister of State Oliver Dowden spoke on Sunday of “encouraging indications” that could lead to the lifting of restrictions linked to the Corona virus in England later this month.

Dowden spoke of the “negative impact” of these restrictions “on the hotel and restaurant industry, the economy and schools .”, adding: “I want to get rid of them if possible,” according to “Sky News English”.

“The indications are encouraging, but we will wait for the data before making a final decision,” he said.

The measures taken last month will be reviewed on 26 January.
