Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 Launch: New Content, Vondel Champions Quest, and More
Countdown to Warzone Season 5 Launch
The Call of Duty community eagerly anticipates the release of Warzone Season 5, which is set to launch on August 2. The new season will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and players can access the latest content starting at 5 pm BST UK time. As expected, the launch will include a substantial update that must be downloaded and installed before gameplay. Express Online will provide patch notes for the update as soon as it becomes available.
Highlights of Warzone Season 5
Warzone Season 5 introduces the Vondel Champions Quest as its main highlight. This quest will be available to squads that have won five consecutive matches in Mini Battle Royale. The quest’s objective is similar to the Al Mazrah quest, where squads must construct the M.G.B., but with a few significant differences.
According to Activision, all elements must be held and never dropped, which is a prerequisite that also applies to any Champion’s Quest. This means that an element cannot be dropped in the water and saved for later. If an element is dropped, it must be recaptured to continue the quest.
The Vondel Champions Quest requires capturing three new elements: Gallium, Deuterium, and Neptunium. Gallium allows players to detect nearby team members who have previously held it. Deuterium fatigues any Operator, and Neptunium periodically electrocutes all nearby Operators. These elements add a new level of complexity to the quest, making it even more challenging than the Al Mazrah quest.
