Carlo Ancelotti Confident of Benzema’s Availability for Real Madrid vs Mallorca Match

Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, has expressed optimism that Karim Benzema will be fit to play in the upcoming match against Real Mallorca, despite limping off in the team’s win against Valencia. However, there is less optimism about the participation of defender Eder Militao. Benzema scored two goals in the match, narrowing the difference between Real Madrid and leaders Barcelona to five points. Benzema limped off 60 minutes into the match, and there appeared to be a thigh problem, after Militao was substituted in the first half with an injury.

When asked about the duo after the victory, Ancelotti said that it seemed like Benzema was suffering from a small problem and that Militao would not be ready for the game on Sunday. Benzema has been involved in 11 goals in the last 12 games he has featured in for Real Madrid in all competitions, having contributed to five goals in the prime nine games this season.

After facing Mallorca the day after tomorrow, Real Madrid will travel to Morocco to participate in the World for Club tournament, where they will face the winner of the match between the American Seattle Sounders and the Egyptian Al-Ahly in the semifinals of the tournament next Wednesday. Ancelotti has expressed his satisfaction with the way the team has performed in recent weeks and is hopeful that they will be able to continue this form in February. He also noted the good timing of the match against Barcelona, which will be on the same day as Real Madrid’s match.
