Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates: denominations of 5, 10 and 50 dirhams via ATMs

The Central Bank of the Emirates announced that five and ten dirham notes have started circulating in the UAE markets after being distributed to operating banks.

In a move to educate the public about the new banknotes and increase their circulation, the Central Bank, in collaboration with the Federation of Emirati Banks, has supplied the new banknotes in denominations of five and fifty-five dirhams through ATMs in banks across the country.

Several domestic banks participated in this initiative, such as Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Bank of Sharjah and many others who are committed in a short period of time to program ATMs in terms of acceptance of the new categories and to update the technical settings in they to adapt them to the content of the initiative. It leads to achieving its objectives to meet the needs of individual customers for new banknotes and to delight retailers, according to the “Gulf” of the United Arab Emirates.

The new cuts in cash was made available at dozens of ATMs of the participating banks, which are located in the main centers of all the emirates of the country. Participating banks will continue through their usual communication channels to guide their customers to the locations of these devices that supply the new banknotes. in denominations of five, ten and fifty dirhams, as well as other denominations.
