Chelsea beat Leicester with a 3-0 goal, increasing their lead in the English Premier League

London: Chelsea have settled for three clean goals against host Leicester City today, Saturday, in the opening matches of the twelfth round of the English Premier League, and have consolidated their lead in the competition table. Chelsea upped their score to 29 points, widening the difference with Manchester City and West Ham to six points until the rest of the stage games are over. Leicester City’s record stalled at 15 points in twelfth place after suffering a second defeat, compared to a draw in the competition’s last three games. Chelsea closed the first half with a brace, scored by the German Antonio Rudiger and the French N’Golo Kante in the 14th and 28th minutes. In the second half, American substitute Christian Pulisic scored the team’s third goal in the 71st minute. (DPA)
