Child killer Kenya escapes prison, is beaten death by mob

Law enforcement in Kenya tell a man who had confessed killing a dozen children and escapes from detention this week was murdered by a mob.

Area Assistant County Commissioner Cornelius Nyaribai confirmed the killing of Masten Wanjala on Thursday. The killing in near being home in Bungoma County Came A Day After He Escaped Police Cells in Nairobi.

Authorities have said that Wanjala had confessed killing 12 children in Nairobi and Machakos and Bungoma provinces when he was arrested in July. He reportedly pretended to be a football coach lure victims.

So far, five bodies have been recovered.
