China cancels i test Corona for travelers who go there, starting from 8 January

A statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry says that China will cancel the test of nucleic acid for people coming from abroad, starting next 8 January.

The statement said those who disclose an abnormal health condition or symptoms of fever will receive a test of antigen at customs, adding that they will be advised to self-isolate at home until recovery or treatment in hospital, depending on their health conditions.

The statement said that China will lift restrictions on international passenger flights, increase the number of staged flights and improve route distribution.

He added that airlines will continue their onboard disinfection operations and passengers will be required to wear masks during the flight.

The statement noted that China will improve arrangements for foreigners to travel in China for work, business, studiofamily visits and reunions and will provide visa services accordingly.

Measures will be taken to ensure that the goods transport in several ports back to pre-pandemic levels as soon as possible and that tourism in exit of Chinese citizens will resume in orderly manner, the note states.

Asked about the new measures at a regular press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said the changes were in in line with the improvement of internal prevention and control measures. These measures will harmonize epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development and make cross-border travel more convenient, safer, orderly and more efficient.
