China sends a manned spacecraft to complete the construction of its space station

China launched the Shenzhou 14 spacecraft on Sunday with three astronauts on board to the Tiangong space station for a six-month mission.

The three astronauts will cooperate with the team of land to complete the assembly and construction of the Tiangong space station and its development from a single-module facility to a three-module national space laboratory, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The vehicle, aboard a Long March-2-F rocket, was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, according to the China Manned Space Agency.
