Chinese President: We will continue our firm support for the security of the Gulf countries

Chinese President Xi Jinping said his country will continue to unswervingly support the security of Gulf countries and continue to import oil in large quantities from the Gulf countries.

As stated in a speech during the launch of China’s Gulf Summit in Riyadh, “We appreciate Saudi Arabia’s efforts to host China’s first Gulf Summit.”

“The Gulf Cooperation Council has succeeded in overcoming global challenges,” he said, noting that the Gulf countries and China can achieve economic and industrial integration.

The Chinese president said his country has been communicating with the Gulf Cooperation Council since its inception, indicating that his country should strengthen our economic partnership, achieve integration and promote development.

“We welcome the participation of Gulf countries in the global security initiative,” he said, adding, “Let’s work together to achieve the principle of non-interference in other countries’ affairs.”

He also added, “We must strengthen our economic partnership, achieve integration and promote development.”

In his speech, the Chinese president referred to his country’s establishment of an investment council with the Gulf states and the establishment of the China Gulf Nuclear Security Center.

He also stressed that Beijing will strengthen cooperation with Gulf states to invest in clean energy.

He explained that China’s efforts are concerted with the Gulf countries to activate the payment system in local currencies.

Interestingly, the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, has arrived in Saudi Arabia, Wednesday, for an official visit that will last 3 days, during which it will hold bilateral meetings and participate in 3 summits:

It is a Saudi-Chinese summit chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Chinese president, with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman attending.

And a Gulf-China summit with the participation of Gulf Cooperation Council leaders.

And an Arab-Chinese summit with the participation of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab countries.
