Ex-footballer Chris Kamara, 63, was caught red-handed by a producer on Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch earlier today, when he helped himself to Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer’s creamy mashed potato. The sporting star was outed in a behind-the-scenes clip posted by a member of the crew on Twitter, which showed him helping himself to the comfort food when he thought no one was looking.

The short clip showed the football presenter wearing a smart red polo shirt while sitting at the show’s kitchen counter.
Brandishing a fork with one hand, the star gripped the saucepan with the other as he tucked into the leftover mashed potato.
“I didn’t know you were here!” said the producer to the football legend.
Saying nothing, the star continued to sheepishly shovel forkfuls of the carb into his mouth, clearly making the most of Simon’s food that he made on the show.

Days ago the star addressed his health on the Channel 4 show, telling viewers he thought he had dementia ahead of his underactive thyroid diagnosis.
The sports pundit revealed he mistook his symptoms for dementia and feared the worse, before speaking out about his struggle.
After Chris was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 20 months ago, the star kept the diagnosis a secret for most of that period and did not even tell his wife Anne how much he was suffering from the condition.
