City: City is fined for fans who stormed the stadium after winning the Scudetto

LONDON: The English Football Association fined Manchester City £ 260,000 ($ 288,808) on Friday for their fans’ behavior during the Premier League title celebration by storming the pitch after defeating Aston Villa. City came two goals behind and won 3-2 against Villa as enthusiastic fans stormed the grounds of the Etihad Stadium. Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen was attacked during the post-game celebrations and City issued an apology and opened an investigation into the incident. Greater Manchester police also accused two people of throwing fireworks and storming the stadium.
