Gas prices in European markets today, Tuesday, accelerated their growth, having risen by about 11% and approached the mark of 1345 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
Natural gas prices started trading today with a 5% gain as they climbed to $1,250 per 1,000 cubic meters after surging 20% yesterday.
The National Energy Security Fund explained the reason for the rise in gas prices by cold weather and problems with the supply of blue fuel from Norway.
