Julia Bradbury, 50, has proudly shown off her figure in a new bikini photo after online trolls skinny-shamed her recently. The Greek Islands With Julia Bradbury host hit back with a sun-soaked snap yesterday after some of her social media followers cruelly remarked it appeared she had come out of a chemotherapy session in response to a previous bikini selfie.
The presenter defiantly penned alongside her latest photo: “Hey Skinny shamers … Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine. My collar bones are still sticking out…& I ate chips!”
Julia then added the hashtags: “#skinnyshaming #sunshine #nohate #heat #heatwave.”
In the picture, which was shared with her 101,000 Instagram followers, Julia stunned as she smiled for the camera while enjoying a sunbathing session.

Fans took to the comments section of Julia’s post to praise her for her words in the caption.
One person wrote: “You look amazing! An inspiration! X.”
Another added: “Love you lady XX Btw, they can shame me too because mine stick out!”
A third fan commented: “They are just jealous Julia, they wish they could eat chips and look as you. I have a friend with fast metabolism who is exactly same as you, she eats whatever she fancies whereas I had to be careful all my life because I tend to put weight easily. Enjoy the sun.”(sic)

“I’m old enough & experienced enough to handle this stuff but millions of people are suffering with #mentalhealth issues & eating disorders. We need to exercise kindness on here.
“I’m happy that I’ve been able to turn a negative into a positive. I just want to say.. you’re all beautiful.
“Don’t let small minded people get you down, and feel fine about exploiting social media – take all the good and none of the negative!”
Speaking on the vile trolling she had received, Julia recently explained: “One of the comments said, ‘She looks like she’s come out of a chemotherapy session’. That was the thing that surprised me — the vitriol.

“They asked, ‘Have you had chemotherapy?’ Absolutely not. I do not have cancer. Initially it just makes you feel very sad.
“Then online, very quickly, that skinny shaming became just nastiness which rolls into lots of very personal comments which have nothing to do with the original post.”
Julia also insisted that the trolls won’t wear her down and has vowed to continue to share her body-positive posts on social media.
She said: “But positive body image for women over 50 is so important, so I will carry on doing what I’m doing.
“I’m not going to stop for the haters,” she added to The Sun.
