Rangers defender Connor Goldson will miss the Scottish Premiership on Saturday match against St Johnstone as he isolates himself, says Steven Gerrard.
Gers boss Gerrard had to miss games against Alashkert and Celtic for self-isolating after an outbreak of Covid-19 at the club.
“It’s not ideal and neither am I want until experience the again” said Gerrard. “I never came here to sit in one bedroom and remote management. It was definitely different experience for sure.”
Regarding the absence of Goldson, Gerrard added: “He’s very robust and he’s been really crucial all along” way by since day one for me.
“I would have loved to have him available but unfortunately we have to do what we have to do.
“Luckily we have good options who Hopefully step up and perform good in his absence.”
Ianis Hagi is also out of Saturday match after a positive test while on international duty with Romania, but Calvin Bassey, James Tavernier, Allan McGregor and Scott Wright do back in quarrel after the outbreak.
