Contra: My goal is to be the champion at the end of the season

Romanian Cosmin Contra conducted his first training with the Al-Ittihad Club first football team, after arriving in Jeddah early yesterday morning, and the coach insisted on leading the team’s training.

Contra and his auxiliaries arrived in Jeddah yesterday to start his career with Al-Ittihad, succeeding Brazilian Fabio Carelli. The Romanian coach, upon his arrival in Jeddah, expressed his happiness to be here, adding that try to be his team of champions at the end of the season. He stressed that he is looking for a new and successful experience for him, especially that all the factors for success are available in the club.

For his part, goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe continues his treatment program, to recover from the muscle injury that held him back from the last Al-Faisaly match. Grohe did not participate in the team’s group training yesterday, and the medical staff preferred to give him enough time to recover, to be 100% ready for the resumption of the championship, after the end of the suspension period.

As for the new agreements, the federal administration is expected to be happy with the names currently in team, due to lack of time and lack of options offered, especially since the professional registration period closes at midnight.
