Convert the voice in text . Zoom adds transcription services in real time

Zoom plans to expand support for text live automatic with the addition of live transcription (voice conversion in text) and transforming the functionality of the whiteboard in a comprehensive app, among many other changes announced by the company at the Zoomtopia conference.

A transcript live automatic or subtitles in English was announced for free platform accounts in February 2021.

The platform now says it plans to provide the transcript in real time (for up to 30 additional languages) by the end of next year.

As part of this push, the platform also offers paid account transcription services, with a plan to support transcription. in real time in a maximum of 12 languages by the end of next year.

The platform was not in able to share details on which languages are supported and when. But he said these improvements are a direct result of the machine learning experience he gained with the acquisition of the German transcription company Kites.

The company said: The feature connects users around the world. This expansion of our transcription capabilities helps overcome the language barrier that can prevent dynamic communication and collaboration.
The other big change is in the functionality of the whiteboard. The platform now allows you to create and share whiteboards during meetings to draw together as you speak. But an expansion planned for launch in beta later this year makes the whiteboard available outside of meetings in the platform’s mobile apps and version web.

The basic drawing tools don’t seem to be any different from what the platform currently offers, as the main change is the way in which treats the whiteboard as a product alongside video calls, rather than as an internal feature.

You can add notes, drawings and comments on your boards and view them whenever you want.

And early next year, Zoom will be coming to Facebook’s Horizon Workroom. The shared meeting space in virtual reality can host video meetings and connect to the whiteboard.

In virtual reality, you can install the whiteboard on your virtual desk or on a wall for everyone to see. and draw together with colleagues who join a meeting via a computer traditional.

“We are committed to removing obstacles to effective and dynamic communication,” the company said.

As part of his efforts in course to provide a connected user experience and streamline workflow, the platform plans to release widgets. With which you get a quick view of the meeting schedule, see who is in the meeting and send a quick chat.
