Count on – Does Jill Duggar need permission to visit her parents’ house?

Since Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard left Counting On two years ago (TLC fired him after a homophobic rant on Twitter, she left in solidarity), rumors have circulated that Jill and Derick had had a big fight with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle. Now, Dillard has made incredible statements on social media about his in-laws, and he says that he and his wife are not allowed into the home of Jim Bob and Michelle without the permission of Patriarch Duggar.

Dillard recently posted photos of his family celebrating over the holidays on Instagram, and wished 743,000 followers a Merry Christmas. However, the message turned into a question and answer session with the fans when they started asking questions about his time on Counting On and Jill’s relationship with his parents.

The question and answer session started when a fan asked where Derick, Jill and their two sons, Israel and Samuel, celebrated Christmas. The law student at the University of Arkansas said his family had their own little Christmas and that some international friends had joined them.

A fan then asked if Derick and Jill ever went to his parents, and he replied strangely that they were no longer on 19 Kids & Counting. A fan quickly pointed out that TLC had canceled this show years ago, but replied that the network had simply renamed the show Counting On.

Another fan noted that Jim Bob and Michelle had returned to the show, so Jill and Derick should also be able to join the cast. Derick said Jim Bob and Michelle were back on Counting On because it was their show, and he and Jill were only appearing for big family events.

Derick has insisted over the years that TLC did not fire him, and that response implied that he was sticking to that story. Then Derick wrote that he and Jill never had a contract with TLC, and they didn’t know that Jim Bob and Michelle had one.

When a fan asked if there were “harsh feelings” between him and his in-laws, Derick said no and then wrote, “There are just more things we are aware of now. The truth will always set you free. “

Derick said that he never talked about his parents-in-law, he simply answers questions so that people will no longer be deceived like him and his wife.

“For a long time, Jill and I had the impression that the family had not made any money from the show, but, on the contrary, it was presented to us as work carried out by a ministry that TLC subsidized periodically in the form (of) reimbursements for things like gas, restaurants, travel, etc. But no actual compensation on top of that, ”wrote Dillard.

Next, Derick revealed that it is difficult to spend time with Jill’s side of the family because they “are not allowed home when JB is not around.”

“Jill even had to ask JB for permission to go home to help his sister while she was at work because her sister wanted her help, but Jill could not provide assistance until after we got it JB’s clearance, “said Dillard.

Derick Dillard also told fans that Jim Bob and Michelle had led everyone to believe that they had no choice as to their appearance on Counting On, and they would be prosecuted if they refused. However, once he and Jill Duggar became more enlightened, they realized that they could easily defend themselves against a family or TLC lawsuit.
