Counter-Strike 2 Reportedly Launching This Month

A new report says that Counter-Strike 2, an updated version of the famous shooter on the Source 2 engine, is accurate and will go into beta later this month.

Richard Lewis, a well-known esports journalist, said earlier today that Valve has been working on Counter-Strike 2 for a while, and it will come out in beta form this month.

The developers working on the new game have worked on other versions of Counter-Strike. The Counter-Strike development team has been focusing on this new version for a while, which is why some bugs in CS: have not been fixed for a time.

Lewis also says that Counter-Strike 2 will have 128 tick servers, which the CS: GO community has wanted for years and an updated matchmaking system that will be more like what services like FACEIT offer now. But the new match-making system will not be ready when the beta starts.

Counter-Strike 2 Reportedly Launching This Month

The move to the Source 2 engine is expected to bring several visual and performance improvements, but this could mean that the game needs more resources to run, which could mean that some players with lower-spec PCs will need to upgrade to play.

In the past few weeks, there have been more and more rumors that CS: GO would get a big update. Official Counter-Strike social media accounts have been more active than usual, and a new Tik Tok account has been added. Listings for Counter-Strike 2 have also been found in NVIDIA driver updates, which has led to more rumors. Lewis’s report shows that there will be significant changes in the world of Counter-Strike, which might be even more significant than people initially thought.
