Currency "bitcoin" Falls to lowest level in two years since FTX bankruptcy news

Bitcoin fell to its lowest level in two years of trading on Friday following news that cryptocurrency exchange FTX failed under Title 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.

According to the FTX blog, Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO and founder of FTX, has stepped down and John Ray III has been named the company’s new CEO.

Bitcoin is losing 3.8 percent during trading, according to data, by 18:40 Moscow time, the value of “bitcoin” fell to $16,803.

Earlier, the value of the Bitcoin currency fell to its lowest level in two years at $16,351.52.

Earlier, the Bitcoin currency fell more than 13 percent, and the world’s most famous digital currency traded below the $16,000 mark for the first time since November 2020.
