During a Fan Fest event in Las Vegas, the director Naoki Yoshida announced ‘Dawntrail’, the fifth major expansion for the popular MMO, Final Fantasy XIV. The expansion is set to be released this summer.
Tropical Paradise Await Players in Eorzea’s New World
‘Dawntrail’ will take players to the tropical island setting of Eorzea’s New World, offering them a relaxing “beach vacation” experience, as described by Yoshida.
Exciting New Features in ‘Dawntrail’
The expansion introduces a new hub city called Tuliyollal, raises the level cap, and adds new jobs, dungeons, enemies, gear, and recipes. Additionally, a version 7.0 patch will bring improved graphics to the game.
Free Trial Version Includes More Content
Final Fantasy XIV’s free trial version will now include content from Heavensward to the start of Shadowbringers, offering players more to explore and enjoy without any cost.
Game Coming to Xbox Systems
In a surprising announcement, Xbox boss Phil Spencer took the stage to confirm that the game will be available for current-gen Xbox systems. The MMO will officially launch in Spring 2024, but an open beta will be released alongside the upcoming Patch 6.5 update, expected in the coming months.
