De Bruyne admits that the next World Cup could be the last of his career

LONDON: The star Belgian Kevin De Bruyne admitted that the 2022 World Cup, in program in Qatar between November 20 and December 18 could be the last of his career, underlining that he is looking forward to seeing his children compete at the highest level. The Belgian international still feels comfortable in view of the World Cup, and on Saturday he scored Manchester City’s 1-0 win against Leicester City, in English Premier League. De Bruyne’s family will travel in Qatar to participate in the World Cup, where Belgium will compete in Group F with Canada, Morocco and Croatia. De Bruyne, 31, participated with the Belgian national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, during which the team took third place, and also participated in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, when Belgium reached the quarter-finals, but realizes that the next edition could be the last for him. “My family will go to the group stage,” said De Bruyne. Of course I’m 31 and I don’t know what’s going to happen in four years. This is the first time that my children will be able to participate in the World Cup ”. De Bruyne added: “I am excited.
