Demonic Trailer: Neil Blomkamp goes haunted horror (with a sci-fi twist)

Neil Blomkamp has made a horror movie – but of obviously the man behind left- science fiction in the field movies District 9, Elysium and Chappie gives him a weird-tech sci-fi scene shot. Here is the trailer for Demonic, in theaters e on digital August 20.

Demonic stars Carly Pope (who you might remember from Suits or Popular, depending on on your age) as a young woman visiting her in coma mother to try to discover a terrible secret. Much soul research ensues, crawling through haunted houses and being harassed by a razor-fingered demon …

And the sci-fi twist? The traditional horror the installation enters in to computer simulation afflicted by a demon – which overturns over inside real world. Left! IS a little 90s!

A funny thing is that the movie shows on screen the technology this is usually behind the scenes. Apparently Blomkamp and his collaborators use in patent pending new method of volumetric capture, which scans an actor from all sides and recreates him in digital module. has arisen of similar to tech found in the Microsoft Kinect camera for the Xbox or used by the by virtual reality and visual effects industries.

His good see Blomkamp back do a movie after focusing on short films in recent years. There probably isn’t chance we will never see its intriguing aspect alien movie or Robocop restart, however.
