Deprive Lyon of its fans until further notice

France’s Ligue 1 decided on Monday to hold Olympique Lyon matches in the closed-door competition until investigations into crowd riots are completed after a match against host Olympique de Marseille on Sunday was canceled due to of fan riots.

The match was canceled about two hours after referee Rudi Paquet stopped the match in the fifth minute after fans threw a bottle of water which hit the head of Marseille’s Dimitri Payet.
