Culley had held out hope Taylor, who kept the injury in Sunday’s 31-21 loss to the Cleveland Browns, can play when the Texans (1-1) receive the Panthers (2-0).

“When he’s ready to go, he’ll play’ said Culley of Taylor.

Mills was eight of 18 passing for 102 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Houston wide receivers Danny Amendola (hamstring) and Nico Collins (shoulder) also were injured on Sunday. Culley said Monday they are still being evaluated.

“Were not sure if they are going to be available this week,’ he said know with Nico, it was pretty important what he got. We’re going to look at it day by day.”
