Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris News for April 30
New Adept Weapons and armour pieces will be featured in the latest Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris event, although fans will have to wait a little longer to find out which ones.
Kicking off later today, Guardians will be going toe-to-toe in the Crucible in a bid to unlock the best loot.
This will mean scoring several wins in 3vs3 encounters, but there’s no guarantee of what loot will be available.
Destiny 2 fans will see the Crucible event launch at around 6pm BST to find out the latest news, including what map has been selected by Bungie.
We also know that Saint-14 is the full-time Trials of Osiris vendor, residing in the Tower Hangar with his pigeons and ship.
And visiting him will be worth it for those who can smash through the Crucible and score some wins as Saint’s inventory updates with Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.
Some things have also stayed the same, with Bungie making sure that the Trials of Osiris playlist becomes active each week from Friday to Tuesday.
The map rotations continue each week, although Bungie has made changes to the weapons you can pick up during an event.
Last week saw Bungie offer The Messenger Pulse Rifle as a three-win weapon, and the Adept version of the same weapon as the Flawless reward.
We won’t know the map selection until Trials of Osiris is back, and it will take a while for Guardians to work out the loot list.
That’s because Bungie doesn’t share what rewards are included in the Trials across any platforms.
Instead, it’s up to gamers to share the full list of loot that will be available from today, until the Weekly Reset on May 4.
Bungie has also confirmed its plans for the upcoming month, including the return of a classic Raid.
The Vault of Glass will be launching as part of Destiny 2 after the end of the Season of the Chosen, with Bungie suggesting that it will be ready to play through on May 22.
A message from the development team explains that the experience won’t be changing much, but there will be some interesting tweaks, telling Guardians:
“That’s right, Guardians will be going up against Atheon in less than a month.
“The story isn’t changing, but you may notice other differences. Our goal was to keep the feeling similar to how you remember, but we have made some updates to bring this content up to Destiny 2 standards. We don’t want to spoil anything though; experience it for yourself starting May 22.
“World First races have been exciting events over the last seven years since, well . we first kicked things off with Vault of Glass back in 2014. Back then, no one really knew what to expect from this new highly challenging cooperative activity.
“There was a mystery and excitement in the air that set the stage for all future races to come. With this being the first raid returning from the Destiny Content Vault, we asked ourselves, “How do we recapture or reimagine that moment?”
“Our goal is to not fundamentally evolve this raid into something completely new. So, this will be the first race (outside of previous hard modes) where players have a broad understanding of what to expect while still encountering changes they’ll have to adapt to.”
