Details of a telephone conversation between the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Prime Minister of Japan over oil

According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida discussed with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman in a telephone conversation stability in the global oil market.

During a 20-minute telephone conversation, the Japanese Prime Minister expressed hope that Saudi Arabia would play a leading role in stabilizing the global oil market.

Japan’s Foreign Ministry said the parties agreed to make joint efforts to stabilize the oil market as well as decarbonize “through the promotion and use of clean energy.”

Yesterday, Monday, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia received a phone call from Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Saudi media reported.

During the telephone conversation, aspects of cooperation between the two countries were considered to strengthen relations in all areas within the framework of the Saudi-Japanese vision of 2030.

A number of issues of mutual interest between the Kingdom and Japan were also discussed.
