In Marvel’s Star Wars #32, Luke Skywalker is shown nearly losing a book filled with the Jedi’s sacred texts and destroying his lightsaber. The issue follows Luke and other characters as they seek refuge from an army of Kill-Droids. After accidentally leaving the sacred text behind in an area overrun by the droids, Luke ventures back out into No-Space to retrieve it. While he’s able to rescue the book, a Kill-Droid grabs Luke’s arm and snaps his yellow lightsaber. The next issue’s synopsis suggests Luke’s lightsaber is damaged beyond repair, which could have major consequences for the galaxy. Written by Charles Soule, Star Wars #32 is available now from Marvel.
