Disney Star Country Star Wars Hotel will open in 2021
Disney’s high-profile Star Wars hotel finally has an opening day. According to the official blog, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open sometime in 2021 at Walt Disney World with a two-day cruise-like itinerary. Cabins for five start at $ 3,300.
Galactic Starcruiser is literally built across from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new 14-acre land in Orlando, Florida. Galactic Starcruiser is not only a unique device, but also a unique experience. Guests should expect a “24/7” story experience more in common with Westworld than a traditional hotel stay.
There is no plan to set up a similar facility on Galaxy Edge in Anaheim, California.

Guests will arrive at a simulated spaceport and then jump to “speed of light” aboard the star cruiser Halcyon. Instead of windows, according to the blog post, guests have a simulated view of space through “viewports” as they approach a “massive ship far too big to land on a planet” as a two-legged droid.
During their stay, guests will be brought to and from the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu with bespoke vehicles – thematically the scene of Disney’s Star Wars country. The model of this “transports” is reminiscent of the interior of the legendary Tantive IV, whose sleek hammerhead shape can be seen in the opening moments of the original Star Wars movie of 1977 the park as well. The article says that the goal is to keep guests “in the story” throughout their stay.
New concept drawings show guests who have gathered to school with a lightsaber. Costumed guests enjoy a game of sabacc in the Silver C Lounge, while drinks are served by a performer dressed in lilac Twi’lek. Elsewhere, other cast members of a group accuse eager children of a hydraulic tensioner working in the engineering room.
