Dom Busby dead: BBC radio presenter dies aged 53 as Mike Bushell pays tribute

Mike Bushell has led tributes to Dominic Busby, who has died following a short illness aged 53. Many of the late broadcaster’s friends and colleague have flocked to social media to send their condolences.

Taking to Twitter, Mike wrote: “Such heart breaking news about our wonderful friend/colleague #dombusby.

“I first worked with Dom at @BBCRadioSolent in 90s, we were like two cheeky schoolboys.

“The most natural broadcaster with warm voice and fantastic energy and sense of humour. Always in my heart Dom.”

BBC Radio Sussex shared pictures of Dom from his time at the station.

They wrote: “It’s with great sadness that we report the passing of former presenter Dominic Busby after a short illness.

“He was a well loved member of our team. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Rest in peace Dom.”
