Donnarumma is the best goalkeeper of the year

Paris: Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, was crowned with the Yashin Award for the best goalkeeper in the world in 2021, during the “France Football” magazine awards ceremony today, Monday. Donnarumma won Euro 2020 with the Italian national team, as well as winning the prize as the best player of the tournament. Donnarumma has overtaken many goalkeepers from around the world, including Brazilian Ederson Morais (Manchester City), Danish Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City), Senegalese Edward Mendy (Chelsea), Belgian Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid), Costa Rican Keylor Navas (Paris Saint-Germain) and the Argentine Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), the German Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), the Slovenian Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) and the Slovenian Samir Handanovic (Inter).
