Dow Jones continues to beat the record

The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit an all-time high shortly after US markets opened on Thursday, continuing to record highs record, as a decline in weekly jobless claims revealed that employment was unaffected by the rise in coronavirus infections in the United States.

The Dow Jones Index was up 33.85 points, or 0.09%, at the opening of trading at 36522.48 points.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index, when the opening bell rings, rose 1.17 points, or 0.02%, to 4794.23 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 7.23 points, or 0.05%, at 15758.98 points.
